DO YOU ALREADY KNOW ABOUT OUR SOCIAL AND SUSTAINABILITY INITIATIVES?

Brazil Windpower promotes

We are committed to ensuring that Brazil Windpower promotes a positive impact on both people and the environment. Our vision is to transform our event into an increasingly sustainable and socially responsible model.

Our purpose is to play a central role in supporting the wind energy sector community, encouraging the improvement of its own sustainability. Through the connection between individuals and resources, we will provide the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively and sustainably tackle the major challenges of the future.

As part of our commitment, we are focused on three pillars of sustainability

1- Inspiring Sustainability
1- INSPIRING SUSTAINABILLY
Embedding sustainability into our brand to inspire our industry to be more sustainable, promoting the achievement of the SDGs (UN Sustainable Development Goals).

Expanding infrastructure and modernizing technology to provide modern and sustainable energy services for all in developing countries.

Halving global per capita food waste at the retail and consumer levels, and reducing food losses along production and supply chains.

Promoting the advancement of energy initiatives, including wind projects and businesses aligned with government targets for climate neutrality and sustainable development, through networking activities held during the event, such as business matchmaking sessions.

Strengthening the global partnership for sustainable development by mobilizing knowledge, expertise, technology, and financial resources. As well as encouraging and promoting effective public-private and civil society partnerships, based on the experience and resource mobilization strategies of these partnerships.

TRANSPORT AND TRAVEL

Sustainable Travel

Partnership with a travel agency offering direct flights and accommodation near the event venue to facilitate access and reduce carbon emissions.

Carpooling

Encouraging participants to share transportation to reduce vehicle traffic and CO2 emissions.

Public Transport

Promotion of bus and metro routes across all communication channels to encourage the use of public transport.

Local Tourism

Partnership with Visit São Paulo to promote local attractions via social media, the event website, and email marketing sent to registered event participants.

2- ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILLITY

Becoming carbon neutral as a company and across all our products, halving the waste generated by our products and events, and achieving zero waste and zero carbon.

2- Environmental Responsibility
  • Production of paper badges with FSC certification.

  • Production of attendee notebooks using FSC-certified paper.

  • Inclusion of a question about the mode of transport used by participants to measure the event's environmental impact and guide future sustainability actions.

  • Interactive map available through the app.
  • Use of LED lighting in the pavilion and Informa spaces, and optimization of air conditioning use to reduce energy consumption.

  • Selective waste collection and environmentally responsible disposal of all waste generated at the event.
  • Service Areas (Exhibitor Services, Registration, and VIP Area) built with modular and reusable structures.

  • Use of carpeting made from recycled PET and PP, with portions reused from previous events. After the event, the carpeting will be reused in future events or recycled and transformed into new products.

  • Better Stands Programme: raising awareness among our exhibitors and stand builders to use reusable stands and thereby reduce waste generation.
3- Social Responsibility
3- SOCIAL RESPONSIBILLITY

Contribute at least 1% of pre-tax profit to community groups, champion diversity and inclusion, and create value for our host cities.

  • Pink October Campaign, with promotion and distribution of pink ribbons during the event, to raise awareness about breast cancer prevention and early diagnosis.

  • Hiring of employees with disabilities or over 60 years of age.
  • Motorized wheelchairs for accessibility of people with reduced mobility or disabilities.

The Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Industrial (SENAI) is one of Brazil's leading institutions dedicated to vocational education, innovation, and skills development for industry. With a focus on training and qualifying professionals, SENAI helps prepare people for the challenges of industry and expand career opportunities across different sectors.

At Brazil Windpower 2026, the partnership with SENAI Nacional promotes an immersive experience in the wind industry for 15 technical students selected by the institution, bringing young professionals closer to the companies, technologies, and opportunities in the sector.

The initiative also includes the participation of SENAI representatives in the BWP Congress programme and the WindTalks Arena, broadening the debate on professional development, training, and talent development for the wind industry.

The Centro de Desenvolvimento da Tecnologia Nuclear (CDTN), a research unit linked to the Comissão Nacional de Energia Nuclear (CNEN), works on scientific and technological development and the generation of innovative solutions for different sectors of society and industry.

In partnership with GRANIOTER/CDTN, Brazil Windpower 2026 strengthens the connection between innovation, entrepreneurship, and the wind energy ecosystem, creating opportunities for startups to present solutions and technologies applicable to the sector.

The partnership includes the participation of startups in the WindTalks Arena through the Startup Minute, featuring presentations of concepts, case studies, and innovations selected and curated by the partner, as well as a dedicated Business Suite for connecting and presenting solutions to companies and professionals in the sector.

This initiative increases the visibility of innovative solutions and brings startups closer to potential partners, clients, and other stakeholders in the wind value chain, contributing to the strengthening of the sector's innovation ecosystem.

SUSTAINABLE PROGRAMME

Created in 2019 by Informa, Better Stands is a global programme that aims to achieve zero waste from exhibition stands.

To this end, we encourage exhibitors and stand builders to replace single-use stands with reusable stands, significantly reducing environmental impact.

WHY JOIN BETTER STANDS?

Single-use stands account for more than 70% of waste produced at events, generating significant environmental problems. Better Stands was created to solve this problem, seeking to transform events into examples of sustainability and safety.

With the Better Stands Programme, exhibitors build more than just a stand. They gain:

Sustainability

Reducing environmental impact and demonstrating commitment to the planet.

Efficiency

Optimising resources and time, with faster assembly and dismantling.

Customisation

Creating a unique space that reflects the brand and delights customers.
